Development Outline
- Tax Status... Becoming a Non Profit Organization:
We will eventually apply for Federal Non Profit tax status, allowing our contributors to qualify for a federal tax deduction on all funds donated to the YST Foundation. Until then we will work under the umbrella of existing non-profit organizations and donations to the YST Foundation will be made through them.
- Creating the Design... for a New Sail Training Ship!
Michael Kasten of Kasten Marine Design, Inc. has been asked to create a ship design proposal for the YST Foundation. Check out the prototype design for the 135' barquentine, Shadow Line.
Design proposal expected completion: Q1, 2008.
Final design expected completion: Q4, 2008.
